Above Average:
This is a serviced body panel that has been properly repaired, replaced and or repainted. The finish is very good and without the typical imperfections.
Average:
This is the average commercial body shop repair seen on most vehicles. This is a good repair that will contain cosmetic imperfections, which may include some paint overspray on the trim, and/or an orange-peel appearance from heavy paint application. It is usually well received by most consumers, mostly due to its good even repair and color blending.
Below Average:
This repair has workmanship that has less attention to detail. The paint has considerable areas with imperfections with one or more of the following, but not limited to; obvious dirt particles, fish-eye spots, paint-runs, paint drips, orange peel look, body filler with deep sanding marks, uneven or warped body panels, misaligned panels and obvious over-spray and tape lines. It may be considered acceptable if does not cause an issue with the operation of the vehicle.
Very Poor:
This is the repair that was done with a total lack of professional experience, equipment and or supplies to complete the task in a proper way. It was done with the most minimal expense and expertise. It may be a partial repair or an attempt to just keep it together and the cost to properly repair may be higher as a result.
